Registration is now open for the 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Canadian Meat Goat Association, which will be held by webinar on February 26, 2026.
The CMGA Board of Directors is pleased to offer free online access to this event for all CMGA members and industry partners from across Canada. The AGM is an opportunity to come together to learn more about the Association’s activities and programs, and to engage directly with directors and staff.
Featured Presentation
The meeting will open with a presentation by Madison Penney, PhD student at the University of Guelph. She will share key findings from a Canada-wide goat producer survey on environmental enrichment and current on-farm practices, along with an update on an ongoing research project evaluating three different enrichment strategies on commercial dairy and meat goat farms.
“I am currently in the first year of my PhD from the University of Guelph department of Population Medicine, researching the use and practicality of various environmental enrichment opportunities on commercial goat farms in Ontario to improve animal welfare and align with NFACC guidelines.”

A review of the CMGA bylaw amendments presented to and voted on by the membership
Participants will have opportunities throughout the meeting to ask questions and share comments and suggestions.

Proxy Voting
Members who are unable to attend may delegate another person using a proxy form. Completed proxy forms must be returned to the CMGA office no later than 8:00 p.m. (Eastern Time) on February 23, 2026.
