Your Input is Needed on the Proposed Traceability Regulations!

Following the recent call for feedback on the proposed traceability regulations, Canadian Nationale Goat Federation (CNGF) is seeking comments specifically on these priority issues:
1. Confirm the use of Premise ID numbers.
2. Confirm that recording and/or reporting to CFIA for lost or missing tags is an acceptable practice.
3. Confirm reporting to CFIA for disposal, slaughter, import and export.
4. Decide on goat movement tracking. Is reporting to CFIA required? Or introduce record keeping requirements (like the sheep sector is doing), with the option to report?
While feedback on all aspects of the proposed regulations remains welcome, we encourage producers to focus particular attention on these key areas.
Your voice matters. Please send you feedback to CNGF NO LATER THAN June 15th, 2026: info@cangoats.com or call (519) 498-1376.
