The 2023 CMGA Type Evaluation Campaign is on!

After several discussions about whether the CMGA would offer the program again in 2023, the CMGA Board finally decided to test the waters. As in previous years, the program is self-funded by participant registrations. As past years, the program is self-funded by participants registrations. To run in 2023, a minimum of 225 goats on a minimum of 16 farm visits total in ON, QC, SK, and MB would be required to make it cost effective at the costs suggested.

The program is offered for the same fees for NS, NB, and PEI if there are a minimum of 4 farms on the program in those 3 provinces combined.  Also, the program can be offered for the same fees for mainland BC if there are a minimum of 4 farms participating to the program in that province. (These would all be examined on a case-by-case basis depending on distance to travel, etc.).

The deadline for registration is July 27. For more information, see the documents 2023 Type Evaluation Program_Breeders Information and 2023 Type Evaluation Registration Form.
