Standardized performance testing program available to Canadian producers
The Board of Directors of the Canadian Meat Goat Association is pleased to announce that the CMGA is providing the opportunity for all Canadian goat producers to participate in the Kentucky State University Goat Herd Improvement Program (GHIP). This program allows producers to have production records standardized and assists them in using performance data to select higher quality animals for replacements. This can result in herd improvement and increased performance without increasing production costs for producers.

How the CMGA Board works
The CMGA Board of Directors is made up of seven individuals, elected by CMGA members via mail ballot, to represent the entire membership. Any current CMGA member who is a Canadian resident may stand for election to the Board.
2011-2014 CMGA Strategic Plan
The CMGA’s Strategic Plan sets a direction for the Canadian Meat Goat Association for the next three years. It will serve as a guide to both the Board of Directors and the CMGA Membership, as well as all interested external stakeholders.

CMGA Youth
Have you got kids and kids??
Feel free to download our CMGA Youth Activity Book with information, games and activities to help children learn all about goats. Also, all children and youth are invited to complete a Youth Project, chronicling their experiences in owning or looking after a goat for the year.
Producer Manuals
Meat Goat Producer Manuals are available in English from the CMGA Office. Includes sections on facilities and handling, health, nutrition, breeding and kids, meat, and industry and business.
