Genetic Marketing and Export Program

As you have heard before,  the CMGA has been given a grant to promote Purebred Meat Goat Genetics in the international market. Stan Johnston and Ann Marie Hauck have been hard at work establishing export contracts to countries such as Cuba. You will see that there are opportunities for exporting our genetics should a member choose to participate.
If you want to take advantage of these opportunities it is important that you think about entering the scrapie program. Many countries will not accept any animals that are not enrolled. Producers must also keep good herd health records and provide Stan and Ann Marie with a portfolio of their animals.  Interested producers must take the time to put together honest information and paint a good picture of why someone would want to buy their animals.
